For over fifteen years, we have provided online courses to individuals and companies across the world, breaking down the boundaries of traditional learning to deliver cost reducing, time efficient training. Unlike many other e-learning providers, our training extends to actual programme/qualification creation and delivery - resulting in a unique blended solution. The knowledge, experience and feedback that this delivery provides helps ensure that we strive to continually improve our solutions.

Our Virtual College Network is also home to numerous e-Academies; specialist websites that concentrate on a sector to ensure that a dedicated, knowledgeable team is meeting your training needs, as well as providing a hub for important updates and developments in policy and legislation, meaning you don't have to spend days on Google gathering snippets of information. What can we do for you?

Growing over time to broaden our range of courses to over 150, Virtual College has also expanded to produce and continually develop a leading class system of e-learning tools focused specifically on helping businesses improve their performance through the adoption of new training systems. This includes our E>nable Learning Management System (LMS) to take the hassle out of staff monitoring, the Optimise project planning tool and the innovative Course On-line Booking System (COBS) that makes it easier for organisations to streamline their staff training monitoring no matter what the volume of new intakes or updates to workplace legislation.

What Do Your Courses Cover?

With a range of over 150 courses available from ourselves, or developed alongside trusted distance learning partners, we cover quite a lot. Two of our most popular online courses at this time are Food Hygiene Level 2 and the 17th Edition mandatory electrician's course, which regularly receive praise on their thorough coverage of subjects and easy accessibility to users no matter where they are in the country.

Perhaps more importantly is what else we can cover for you. While courses can be bought online and completed according to accredited standards, we also work with individual companies to tailor solutions to their needs. Great examples of this have been working on the West Yorkshire NHS TIGER solution and delivering NVQ level 2 qualifications to disabled learners at Remploy in Bolton.

A Bit of History:

Founded in 1995 when the idea of e-learning was ahead of its time, Virtual College took the first steps in its vision of creating a better learning experience by embracing technology and seeing how it could help; fast forward to April 1999 when the company delivered its first electronic NVQ qualifications following a number of accolades including being cited in Government green papers and held as an e-learning exemplar in Hansard. By July we had become an approved supplier to UFI, and in the following years we have continued to build trusted partnerships with leading British institutions including Princes Soft Drinks and General Electric, creating modules alongside NHS professionals and the West Yorkshire Police. Over time the company has gone from strength to strength, launching new modules, products and establishing the specialised e-academies along the way.

In September 2011 we're already celebrating a number of milestones including City & Guilds accreditation for our online food hygiene courses, the release of our first iPhone e-learning app and passing the mark of our 600,000th registered learner, for which we started the 'NEET' initiative - offering 6 free courses for 60 days to anyone meeting the 'NEET' criteria. With new opportunities around every corner, the future's bright and we look forward to bringing you the cutting edge in electronic training.
