Virtual College - Events

Thanks to everyone who attended our 'Business benefits of e-learning' Leeds event and made it a success. For those new to the idea of e-learning, it gave a good insight into what is achievable, while veterans had a chance to discover more about how other businesses are making e-learning work for them.
If you couldn't make it, don't panic! We're already busy planning our next event for the new year, but in the mean-time if you'd like to know more we'll be posting highlights of the presentations in the next couple of weeks; also you can always get in touch with us if you have specific questions using our online contact form, calling 01943 605976 or direct email to info@virtual-college.co.uk.

Over 650,000 people have already discovered our e-learning. Come and find out why and how they've benefitted.

To coincide with the 2011 Leeds Digital Festival this November, Virtual College will be launching an event that introduces your company to the benefits of e-learning in the workplace.

Distance learning has come a long way since the days of correspondence courses; with electronic delivery via the internet you can save time and money. E-learning can also complement your existing training provision with a good Learning Management System (LMS) that allows you to monitor staff progress without the need for masses of paperwork; easily providing evidence of course completion. Don't just take it from us; we've invited some of our existing partners and customers to share their real experiences with you.

The date for your diary is 29th November 2011 at The Mint Hotel in Leeds (only a few minutes walk from the train station and offering a stunning panoramic view of this flagship northern city). And what breakfast seminar would be complete without a free breakfast! As well as over 15 years' experience from the UK's leading e-learning provider (us) there will be opportunities to network with the many great companies that have set up home across Yorkshire, demos of our existing courses and a chance to try our industry leading learning management tools. We'll unveil more details on the agenda nearer the time, but rest assured we'll be answering all of your enquiries including FAQ's like:

What is a Learning Management System (LMS) and how can it benefit my organisation?
(It makes your life easier and reduces costs)

What are the benefits of e-Learning for my company?
(Time saving, money saving and earth saving to name a few)

How can e-Learning benefit my Continued Professional Development (CPD)?
(Virtual College is a CPD member with over 150 certified courses)

Will e-learning replace my existing staff training?
(E-learning doesn't replace jobs, buts helps training providers be more efficient and engaging)

How easy is it to convert my existing training into a Virtual College e-learning module?
(Very)

What is 'White Labelling'?
(Sell our courses with your branding and take a cut)

Breakfast and networking is scheduled for 8:30 am with the first of our presentations starting at 9:00 am. We expect the session to finish around 12:00 pm but you're more than welcome to join us afterwards and chat in a more informal setting.

So if you'd like to join us for some breakfast and e-learning you can sign up using our Eventbrite form here. Eventbrite allows you to easily add details into Outlook, Google Calendar, Yahoo! Calendar or iCal and easily share the event with friends and peers using popular social networks. If you can't make the 29th but are interested in finding out more, we'd be happy to get in touch and discuss your needs. In these uncertain times, you can at least be safe in the knowledge that over 500,000 learners selecting the Virtual College Learning Management System all became winners!

Join us at our free e-learning event!

The Virtual College Learning Management System allows learners to access learning resources on-line at a time, place and pace convenient to themselves. It is now used widely by large and small organisations across all sectors who want to provide their staff with e-learning material for induction, mandatory and refresher training, and much, much more!

It is also of huge value to training and human resources staff who want to record and track learner records for both online and offline training, manage training needs analysis, appraisals and e-portfolios.

Free e-learning seminar

It's powerful, it's exciting and it's visionary, and fortunately, for organisations facing large-scale challenges, blended learning is now a reality. To help spread the word to the next third of a million users, Virtual College has organised this free e-learning seminar. Local speakers will demonstrate how they are using e-learning in their organisations every day - so whether you are looking from a private or public sector perspective, it will be relevant to you.

With over 100 online courses available, this free seminar will also allow you to try relevant e-learning modules yourself and demonstrate how e-learning can save you time, paperwork and potential liability claims.

Is it relevant to you?

We envisage that this seminar will be most relevant to training managers, HR managers and small to medium enterprises who need to keep staff up-to-date and informed.
