Working with hostile and resistant families workshop - Peterborough

In addition to providing e-learning, The Safeguarding Children e-Academy regularly runs free seminars on important child protection issues and best practice sharing events right across the UK. For our next event we will be running a free full day workshop in Peterborough on Thursday 17th November and featuring two expert speakers; In the morning Sue Woolmore (Independent Chair, Wigan SCB) will be leading an experiential face to face session on working with resistant families, and in the afternoon Ruth Pearson (Sheffield University) will be running taster workshops focusing on working with hostile or uncooperative families.

The event is not designed as a training session for frontline professionals, but is intended as an awareness session on how to equip frontline workers with the knowledge to successfully deal with the challenges in their work arising from cultural differences. The day will help those looking for ways of embedding some clear practice guidelines in their future process and training delivery.

If you are interested in attending or would like to know more please email events@safeguardingchildrenea.co.uk or call 01943 885083.

Newmarket Suppliers Conference

Sue Bradbury, Healthcare Engagement Manager and Joe Spencer, Account Manager exhibited at the NHS Suppliers Conference in Newmarket on the 20th September. The conference brings together the suppliers and buyers within the NHS which provided the perfect opportunity for the Healthcare e-Academy to attract interest in the form of sponsorship of its e-learning courses. Many suppliers saw the value of online training and expressed an interest to purchase our courses to work alongside their existing products and increase the value proposition.
