TIGER Burning Bright for NHS
-
The TIGER (The Information Governance Education Recognition) solution, was
triggered by the need to dramatically improve the adoption of Information
Governance best practice within the National Health and Social Services.
-
Initiated by seven pro-active health and social services organisations in the
North of England, along with the Virtual College, each consortium member has
played an active role in the TIGER solution development and has piloted the
completed toolkit within their organisation.
-
Feedback has been great and the consortium has already identified a number of
further development opportunities - particularly around data sharing protocols,
records management and data integrity.
-
A further 5 members have now joined the consortium.
-
Over 60 NHS and social care organisations have used the TIGER solution, which
utilises e-learning as a vehicle to provide a fun and flexible learning
experience. Modules include
-
Caldicott
-
Data Protection
-
Information Security
-
Each module has:
-
Been carefully designed to ensure interactivity with the learner and includes a
wide range of learner challenges, quizzes and exercises.
-
A set of learning objectives, an end of module summary and glossary.
-
A mixture of animations, cartoons and photographs has been used to create a
varied and interesting learning experience.
-
The learning content can be accessed anywhere in the world, from the learner's
password protected training record.
