Higher Level Skills For Industry (HLSI)

Project Aim
To develop a region wide and fully integrated XML digital repository of learning objects and actively promote the adoption of the production methodologies, which will enable those engaged in the learning supply chain to produce learning materials specific to the needs of the learner and their environment. In addition the project will increase the scope, flexibility and quality of learner-targeted materials available online and so accelerate progression to higher-level skills.
Virtual College Activity
As a founder project partner Virtual College have been active in a number of areas including:
  • Development of e-learning resources
  • Learning object development
  • Staff development
  • Developing innovative delivery technologies
