Overview - Right from the Start with HENRY

We now know that being overweight is a major health problem and that the number of overweight adults and children continues to rise. Younger and younger children are affected and as many as 1 in 4 children now start school already overweight.

As a result, this e-learning course has been designed to provide parents or carers with detailed information on how they can help provide their family with a healthy lifestyle right from the start.

The course is divided in to 6 sessions, including information on how weight affects health and why a healthy weight is important. In addition to weight, the course also covers the importance of being active, and offers hints and tips on what families can do to become more active together.

On completion, parents will have an increased understanding of the knowledge and skills required to equip their children with the ability to resist the pressures of modern life that encourage inactivity and weight gain.

Certification

On completion of this course you will be able to download a Virtual College certificate.

Duration

Approximately 2-3 hours to complete (depending on learning speed). As an e-learning module you can complete this training in convenient stages and revisit whenever you wish. The system will record your progress throughout.
