Learning Experience Designer

Salary: Competitive salary dependent on experience

The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced learning professionals to join our Learning Design and Development Team.

Based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, the successful candidate will join our business on a permanent contract and earn a competitive salary based on experience.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate is passionate about creating impactful and fully accessible e-learning content which is designed around the learner. They are willing to go the extra mile and are constantly pushing boundaries to develop the best possible solution. They take responsibility for their own work, drive their own learning and development and are happy to play an active role within the team.

Key Skills/Experience:

Essential:

  • Prior experience in instructionally designing engaging, interactive and fully accessible (WCAG 2.1) e-learning content to timescale, budget and quality.
  • Able to draw upon different instructional design methodologies to create effective learning experiences.
  • Demonstrable advanced skills in using Articulate Storyline and/or Articulate Rise.
  • Familiarity with new and emerging technologies and methodologies in e-learning and instructional design.
  • Ability to work successfully alongside learning design managers, quality testers and graphic designers.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with a range of different authoring tools.
  • Experience with gamification and/or serious games.
  • Experience with the effective use of video for learning.
  • Experience with virtual, augmented and/or mixed reality.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams.
  • Happy to work as part of a remote team.

  • Hours of work covering 37.5 hours (Monday to Friday) including flexible working.
