Marketing Manager - Campaigns & Content

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Ilkley, West Yorkshire

The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager – Campaigns & Content to join our existing Marketing Team. The primary aim of the role is to lead a dynamic campaign strategy across email, social, website, content marketing and SEO that drives brand awareness, customer and learner engagement and supports both direct sales and lead generation. A strong content and campaign marketing background would be highly advantageous for this role.

Key Duties:

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, your key duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Develop, deliver and manage the budget for an innovative content and campaign strategy across email, social media, website, content marketing and SEO that drives VC brand awareness, customer engagement and supports the nurturing of new and existing prospects.
  • Be the key point of contact between the marketing and sales team, creating a collaborative working environment based on a ‘one team’ ethos.
  • Work alongside the Offline Marketing Manager and Digital Acquisition Manager to align campaign plans to new product launches and our paid media strategy.
  • Own and deliver a clear content roadmap that supports campaigns and the wider SEO strategy.
  • Develop clear engagement and up-sale plans for freemium and paid for products.
  • Develop a clear plan for customer and prospect nurturing through an automated email engagement strategy - increasing sales from existing customers and driving high value leads to the sales team.
  • Track progress and performance of campaign activity using data insights to optimise future campaigns that drive greater results.
  • Lead, grow and inspire a team of marketing and content executives through clear objectives, targets, mentoring and support.

Key Skills/Experience:

Essential:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Strong content, campaign and SEO marketing background
  • Proven track record in leading and delivering high volume, high-quality marketing activity and outcomes.
  • Experience of budget management, controlling costs and delivering value for money on marketing spend.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a relationship builder – ability to work with different types of people and teams

Desirable:

  • CIM qualification or equivalent
  • Proactive, objective and goal orientated.
  • An entrepreneurial self-starter that takes ownership.
