This course is the ideal introduction to safeguarding children and ideal for anyone who works with children in a professional capacity or for anyone who currently does volunteer work with children.
Upon completion of this course, you will understand the different types of abuse there are, and begin to recognise and differentiate between different signs of abuse or neglect. You will understand how to keep accurate records, and understand what to do when you discover or suspect that a child is being abused.
Please be aware that this training content deals with a potentially disturbing subject matter and material and images used may be of a graphic nature. The course carries links to help lines and national support agencies that can be contacted should you feel the need to talk about the subject to someone other than your colleagues or manager.

The end of course test consists of 15 multiple choice questions. Learners are required to achieve a 75% pass mark, and, if necessary, may attempt the test six times at no extra cost.
