This workshop has been created for those who design, install, commission or maintain low-voltage electrical installations and who need a better understanding of the impact and implications of 2nd Amendment.

This 18th Edition Amendment No.2 E-learning Workshop course has been developed in partnership with NICEIC to provide a cost-effective way to provide an overview of the main changes introduced by the 2nd Amendment.

What does this course cover?

This course has been designed to highlight the main changes introduced by the release of the second amendment to BS 7671.

This CPD module is broken up into three modules, plus a game and revision papers.

Work areas

The scope of BS 7671:2018 covers permanent and temporary installations in residential, commercial, public and industrial premises. It also includes requirements relating to special locations as well as considerations for energy efficiency.

Certification

On completion of the 18th Edition Amendment 2 Update course, you will be able to print a certificate to demonstrate you have completed the learning.

Duration

6 study hours to complete. The length of time taken depends entirely on how quickly learners can study and absorb the material.

There are no formal entry requirements however, delegates will gain most from this CPD workshop if they already have a good understanding of BS 7671:2018.

  • Take the course

    This online course consists of a series of pages in which an instructor will talk learners through the lesson material. Pages may include supporting pictures, graphs, animation or extra sounds to help with the learning where appropriate. Some lessons will include challenges/quizzes to help learners stay engaged and interested in the material. Lessons can be taken in any order and each lesson may be paused and resumed at any stage.

    The course is self-paced so learners decide how fast or slow the training goes. There is no deadline for completion but some of our courses have a test at the end to check that learners have understood the material. If the course has a test at the end then learners are required to achieve a 75% pass mark to successfully complete the course. Once learners have passed the test they are awarded a certificate, which can either be downloaded digitally or sent as a physical copy if this option was chosen when purchasing the course.
