Who is this course for?
If you have passed your completed 17th edition Amendment 3: 2015 qualification, you can take the shorter 18th Edition update course. This shorter course covers the similar topics and reduce the overall time it takes to do the course (4-5 hours).
What is the 18th Edition?
The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations contains important new information for electricians and electrical engineers. These regulations came into effect on the 1st of January 2019 and applies to all new electrical installations. The updates include: extended scoping to cover extra categories, chapter changes including rewrites and restructuring, increased definitions and surge protection guidance. These updates are crucial for those in the electrical industry to understand.

What is included in this online training?
This online training will give candidates an in-depth knowledge of the key areas of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, Scope, object and fundamental principles, Definitions, Assessment of general characteristics, Protection for safety, Selection and erection of equipment, Inspection and testing, Special installations or locations, Appendices.
Upon completion of the online training, they will receive instructions on how to book their 2-hour exam (included in price of training) through NICEIC at one of their approved centres throughout the U.K.
All of the courses have been created in partnership with NICEIC.
Each part usually takes between 2-3 hours each to complete, depending on the speed of learning. Learners do not have to complete all the training in one session as progress is recorded throughout and the training can be paused and resumed in our learning management system at any time.
These courses are primarily aimed at practicing electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals, e.g. electrical engineers, contracts managers, designers, consultants, surveyors, and other related trades.
There are no entry requirements for this course.

On completion of these modules, learners will need to book a face-to-face test with NICEIC to receive their accreditation.
