If you come in to contact with children for short periods during the course of your work or as a volunteer this is the course for you.
This introductory course for safeguarding children is designed for professionals who may only come into contact with children for short but regular periods of time throughout their work, or for volunteers who need to understand how they can safeguard children to the best of their ability.
Safeguarding awareness is for anyone who is responsible for the protection of children, and also those who promote the welfare of children / young adults and protect them from neglect or harm. If you are working in the early years sector, it is important that you comply to safeguarding measures and standards to ensure the well being of all the children in your care.
Our course will help you to provide the right support for children and young people to make decisions about the risks they face in their own lives. Also protecting those who lack the capacity to make these decisions by themselves.
With this course material, learners can ensure they are trained appropriately to be able to work with children and they have taken the necessary steps to be able to identify the signs of child abuse.
Upon completion of this course, professionals and learners who are new to working with children will be able to recognise when a child is in danger, and what their responsibility is when it comes to reporting child abuse and neglect.
