Free course set to raise awareness of child sexual exploitation

On 19th November 'Keep Them Safe' a free Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness course for parents will be launched.

We have developed the free course in partnership with leading charity Parents Against Child Sexual Exploitation (Pace) as a response to the results of a recent YouGov survey - Are parents in the picture - Professional and Parental perspectives of child sexual exploitation?.

The survey showed that only 12% of parents can identify all the key signs of child sexual exploitation and that 70% of teachers think a lack of parental knowledge is the main barrier to identifying and preventing cases of child sexual exploitation.

The short course (20-30mins) aims to equip parents with the information they need to protect their children from sexual exploitation.

Keep them safe will help parents to:

  • Understand child sexual exploitation
  • Find out how to spot the signs
  • Know who to report any concerns to
