Online training 'helps Staffordshire locals to find jobs'

People looking to find a new job can now receive tuition in how to do so via online learning courses.

Working in unison with myguide.gov.uk, employment skills organisation Pertemps People Development Group (PPDG) has created an initiative incorporating lessons on computer knowledge and how to search the internet for suitable positions.

The project is aimed towards equipping people in the Staffordshire town of Cannock with the necessary tools to find work online, while a unique method has been employed to spread the word.

With the use of an American-style motorhome, the PPDG has set up base in the town centre to inform residents of the scheme.

Inside the blue Winnebago, people can pick up information packs and even use the latest equipment to assess their ability on-site.

Last week, Distance Learning College & Training, an institution specialising in online courses for adults, reported it has taken on double the amount of students over the last six months.
