Saint-Gobain Glass UK introduces online learning sessions

Saint-Gobain Glass UK has rolled out a new range of free e-learning modules to provide its members with business training that is not going to interfere with their daily routine.

The firm - which is formed by respected companies in the UK and Ireland - offers clients in architecture and design various products and material solutions that will enable them to respond to the latest industry trends.

For members of its PLANITHERM Network, Saint-Gobain is launching a series of 30-minute sessions on numerous key topics to give workers more confidence when answering customer enquiries.

The first module will cover Energy-Efficient Glass and the second - due to be released in 2013 - is on triple glazing, while those who complete the classes through the PLANITHERM website will appear ahead of those who have not in the company's Find an Installer internet search facility.

As part of the organisation's new developments, it is running a TV campaign throughout next year, which is planning to include an advanced online marketing materials design and print portal.

This has been created to allow PLANITHERM Network members to generate professional and customisable content to support their marketing activities and sales and take advantage of advertising.

In addition, individuals will be able to produce their own flyers, door drop cards, posters and business stationery by using Saint-Gobain's system free of charge.

Craig Dodsworth, residential market manager for Saint-Gobain Glass UK, said there has never been a better time for window and conservatory manufacturers and installers who meet the criteria to join the PLANITHERM network.

"[It] has been designed to provide real benefits and support for companies that can demonstrate a commitment to the product. Our new benefits are very tangible and are designed to make a very real difference to our members," he added.

The website encountered more than 32,000 visitor searches last year and as a result, the company stated it is more important than ever for businesses to stand out and maximise their opportunities in generating sales leads.
