Virtual College learning technologies awards

Virtual College, renowned for its online courses and learning management software, has been shortlisted in all four categories for which it entered in the prestigious Learning Technologies Awards 2017.

The shortlisted nominations have been reached following a summer of deliberations by an independent judging panel, comprising over 40 experts organised by the eLearning Network.

Entries were received from a huge range of sectors, including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, finance, transport, utilities, retail, leisure and communications, as well as national and international government, major public and membership bodies and leading international education brands.

From hundreds of entries, the ’most competitive shortlist yet’ has been determined.

Virtual College has been successfully shortlisted in all categories for which it has entered:

Learning technologies company of the year – UK

Learning designer of the year

We have put forward both Hayley Khan and John Hinchliffe from Virtual College.

Excellence in the design of learning content – public & non-profit sector

Selected for Virtual College’s work with the Home Office in developing a comprehensive e-learning course on female genital mutilation (FGM), a violent practice which affects an estimated 140 million women worldwide.

Best learning technologies project – UK public & non-profit sector

Again, Virtual College has been recognised for its work with the Home Office in ‘Recognising and Preventing FGM’.

Shortlisted nominees now face the judging panel again in a series of presentations, taking place in London and online, in September and October.

The winners will be exclusively revealed during a glittering gala evening at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London, UK. This spectacular celebration attracts more than 850 guests worldwide from across the learning technologies industry.
