Linear LLC to host third e-learning workshop

Linear LLC has announced it is to run its third webinar as part of the business' ongoing online learning programme. The leader in residential and commercial security solutions will host the session - entitled Crafting a Local PR Strategy - today (December 5th) and is aiming to offer guidance on the best practices in local public relations.Within the training, participants will be taught tips for finding and contacting media sources, how to draw up press releases on upcoming hires and promotions and the most suitable ways to get involved in and promote charity events and activities. In addition, it is seeking to provide business training to distributors and dealers, while at the same time offering a free and easy-to-use online resource.Running for around 45 minutes, the webinar will provide advice on social media, branding and trends and any questions attendees may have on the covered topics are to be answered in an additional 15-minute session.Duane Paulson, senior vice-president of product and market development at Linear LLC, said the firm organised the new digital training workshop following positive feedback from the previous two classes. In October, Linear LLC held a webinar on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Fundamentals, which covered how SEO can help with lead generation and driving online traffic to dealers' websites.Mr Paulson stated: "By communicating the importance of and sharing strategies for working with the local media, we're providing our dealer network with a tool to help them effectively grow their business."Anyone who is unable to attend the latest webinar will not miss out on the e-learning, as the session is to be recorded so individuals can watch it at a time that is suitable for them. The organisation claimed participants should walk away from the workshop with various new skills, a better understanding of how to build a targeted local media list and tips on arranging local partnerships with complementary businesses.Mr Paulson remarked these relationships are "important when sharing news and promoting events, but also bolster prominence in becoming the go-to security resource within their community".
