Judged by a panel of independent and NHS Lean experts, this year's applicants competed for a place on the shortlist across eight award categories. Each award recognises an organisation's commitment in the use of Lean principles to improve patient care and working practices.
Judith Clarkson, Director of the Lean Healthcare Academy added "It should be acknowledged that all submissions were of a particularly high calibre and the work people are doing is making a real difference to the efficiency of the healthcare organisations they work for. They should be congratulated on the improvements they have made so far."
Now in its fifth year, the event has become a significant date for anyone working in healthcare who is serious about service improvement. Three finalists will be chosen from the shortlist for each of the award categories and will showcase their inspirational projects at the conference so that delegates can share ideas with colleagues.
