What to expect from Virtual College at Learning Tech 2018

On Wednesday the 31st January, Virtual College will be exhibiting and presenting a case study led seminar at Learning Technologies 2018 – Europe’s leading conference for organisational learning and the technology used to support learning at work. You can find us on stand E6, where we will be having a prize draw and offering a few other little surprises. Our team will be on hand to discuss all areas of L&D including behaviour changes and a consultative approach to training, GDPR, LMS, as well as our off-the-shelf, Bespoke and custom content opportunities.

Jaison Cresswell, Learning Technology Manager for Corporate, Education and Partners at Virtual College and Greg Ward, Senior Business Solutions Partner from EEF (The Manufacturers’ Organisation) will be conducting a free seminar. Titled ‘Creating change: a behaviour-based game’ the seminar will explain how EEF and Virtual College have used their combined expertise to develop a blended learning approach to encourage safe working and behaviours. It is set to take place at 11am in the Learning Technologies Seminar Theatre 2, at London Olympia.

Jaison and Greg will discuss behaviour change at all levels of leadership, management and supervisory roles. Together they will outline the different risk related roles within an organisation and offer possible solutions. Using e-learning courses, videos, interactive games and face to face training for learning; this programme explores how L&D is at the centre of a culture change within every organisation.

They will also explore:

  • The collaborative training design process
  • The role of different types of training methods
  • How games based learning supports behaviour change
  • Evolving approaches to learning technology

EEF and Virtual College’s combined expertise have resulted in a blended learning approach, to encourage safe working and behaviours. You can come visit Virtual College on Stand E6 at any point during the exhibition, plus there will also be a variety of other activities on offer throughout the whole exhibition itself.

From exhibitor stands, networking sessions to a range of free seminars; Learning Tech 2018 has plenty to offer. It is expected to have more than 8,000 visitors attending, with 150 free L&D seminars running throughout and over 200 exhibitors in total.
