Do food hygiene certificates expire?
While food hygiene certificates do not have an expiry date, it is recommended that you renew it every three years.
What is Level 2 Food Safety?
The Level 2 Food Safety course is for employers who manage or supervise food handlers within a food environment. This course identifies the main food safety principles for anyone who works in hospitality.

How long does a manual handling certificate last?
It can vary, but most manual handling certificates last for between three to five years.
Do new electrical items need to be PAT tested?
If an electrical item is new, it should present no danger and therefore does not require a PAT test. However, it is still wise to assess the electrical item visually to ensure it is not damaged in any way. This way you can be sure it is safe to use.
How long does a safer recruitment certificate last?
While there isn’t a set expiry date for a safer recruitment certificate, the general rule is that they should be renewed at least every three years.
How often should safeguarding training be updated?
Keeping Children Safe in Education advises that safeguarding training should be conducted at least annually. The Designated Safeguarding Lead is recommended to refresh their own training every two years, as are any deputies.
