Overview - An Introduction to Welding Safety

The aim of this short module is to raise understanding and awareness of the safety issues associated with welding. Upon completion learners will be aware of a range of key issues, including:

  • The four main types of welding
  • Appropriate protective equipment
  • Safety tips relating to the work area, equipment, fumes and ventilation and confined spaces
  • First Aid

By completing this short module and passing the associated online assessment, prospective students have shown they are aware of the key safety issues relating to a potentially dangerous activity.

Certification

On completion of this course you will be able to download a Virtual College certificate.

Duration
