Bolsover District Council lend support to 'Prepared to Save a Life' Initiative

Bolsover District Council cement their ongoing support for the Derbyshire charity, Community Save a Life Scheme (CSALS) as they team up with Virtual College to create a free online course open to everyone in the UK!

Present at the official launch of the online training modules 'Prepared to Save a Life' at the House of Commons in October were Council Chairman, Councillor Tom Munro; Strategic Director, Lee Hickin and Councillors Deborah Watson and Jim Clifton.

Cheryle Berry MBE, Trustee of CSALS added, “Bolsover District Council have given tremendous support to CSALS since 2012, when Councillor Deborah Watson pledged her support for our work and together with her colleague Councillor Jim Clifton they joined our small Strategy Group.”

The team have now set an ambitious, but achievable national target of training 250,000 people in basic lifesaving skills, within a year of launching the new online solution.

Council Chairman, Councillor Tom Munro urges residents and businesses alike to get involved “We will continue our support for CSALS, and hope that you will join in and help us reach the target! I urge you sign up to the FREE, bite-sized online course that provides basic skills for all which could be lifesaving.”
