Virtual College nominated in three Learning Technologies Awards categories

Following its success in last year’s Learning Technologies Awards, Virtual College has been nominated in three categories for the 2016 Awards:

  • Learning technologies supplier of the year
  • Excellence in the design of learning content - public and non-profit sector.
  • Learning technologies designer of the year

Over 170 organisations from 20 different countries have entered for these prestigious global awards. As a total of 279 entries were made, from global names including the BBC, Jaguar Land Rover and the World Health Organisation, these nominations represent a tremendous accolade for Virtual College.

The Learning Technologies Awards is the leading, independently judged scheme in the industry. The judging is independently co-ordinated by the eLearning Network and comprises a panel of judges drawn from leading professionals in learning and development. Judges are chosen based not only on their skill, depth of experience and reputation, but also for their contribution to, and passion for, e-learning.

The Learning Technologies Awards gala evening will be held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London, UK on 30 November, 2016.

At the 2015 event, Virtual College turned their 4 nominations into 4 awards:

  • Gold for 'E-learning development company of the year’
  • Silver for CEO Rod Knox in the ‘Learning Technologies outstanding contribution award’ category
  • Bronze in the ‘Excellence in the production of learning content - not for profit sector’ category
  • Bronze in the ‘e.learning age outstanding learning organisation award’ category
