Virtual College Joins Aberdeen City Council’s Training Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS)

We are delighted to announce that Virtual College has been formally accepted onto the Aberdeen City Council Dynamic Purchasing System (Training DPS) – enabling us to deliver high-quality training services to the Council and its wider contracting authorities.

This achievement reflects our continued commitment to working in partnership with the public sector to deliver impactful, accessible and value-for-money learning solutions. Being added to the DPS confirms that Virtual College has successfully met the Council’s rigorous standards around quality, governance, compliance, and service delivery.

What is the DPS?

A Dynamic Purchasing System is an approved framework that allows councils and other public bodies to quickly and efficiently procure specialist training services from trusted and pre-vetted suppliers. Organisations accepted onto the DPS undergo a comprehensive assessment of capability, safeguarding, data handling, equality practices, health & safety measures, and overall service quality before any training can be commissioned.

What This Means for Public Sector Partners

Joining the DPS means Virtual College is now eligible to tender for individual Call-Off Contracts under the framework – offering:

  • Accredited and bespoke digital and blended learning solutions
  • Content designed around public sector skills development
  • Flexible programmes aligned to KPIs and measurable outcomes
  • A proven track record of innovation and learner engagement

Whether the focus is workforce development, digital transformation, leadership skills, or specialist training, we are ideally positioned to support the Council and its partners with scalable, learner-centred programmes.

Our Commitment

Acceptance onto the DPS represents more than just eligibility to supply training – it is a commitment to quality, accountability, equality and continuous improvement throughout the lifetime of the contract. We look forward to supporting Aberdeen City Council’s learning and workforce development ambitions and building long-term value through collaboration and innovation.
