Virtual College Appointed to Fáilte Ireland Professional Development & Corporate Training DPS
We are pleased to share that Virtual College has been formally appointed to the Fáilte Ireland Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Professional Development and Corporate Training Providers.
This DPS, advertised through OJEU notice 2020/S 230-567316, was established by the National Tourism Development Authority (Fáilte Ireland) to support the procurement of high-quality learning, professional development and organisational training services across the Irish tourism sector.
The agreement was executed with Virtual College as a DPS Member on 15 February 2021.
What the DPS Covers
The DPS enables Fáilte Ireland and participating bodies to source a range of development and training services tailored to the tourism and hospitality industry, including:
- Digital and blended learning
- Workforce capability building
- Leadership, service excellence and soft skills programmes
- Specialist and sector-focused training initiatives
- Organisational development and upskilling programmes
The DPS allows the Authority to run mini competitions for specific contract opportunities, inviting approved suppliers such as Virtual College to tender for delivery.
A Strategic Route to Market
Being accepted onto this DPS demonstrates that Virtual College has successfully met the Authority’s requirements around:
- Technical capability and training expertise
- Compliance with EU procurement rules
- Governance and legal eligibility criteria
- Organisational and financial standing
Under the terms of the DPS, approved members may be awarded call-off contracts following evaluation under the Authority’s award criteria, including methodology, innovation, subject matter expertise, quality of delivery, and value for money.
