Microsoft Access is used for creating and managing relational databases. The data entered into these databases are organised into tables, consisting of rows and columns with a precise defined structure. Access databases enable you to select required data from the saved information to further manage, create new derived data from the saved information using calculations, and to display, print and publish the source and resulting data in various ways.

Why take this course?

This online training will help learners who may or may not have previous experience with Microsoft Access develop their skills and understanding of what the program is used for, and how they can begin to understand basic terminology, how to structure data in their work, how to import and copy external data into databases and how to update action queries.

The Microsoft Access 2013 training course is split into three separate modules where learners will be able to focus on different aspects of the software program that is used to build databases. With the introductory module, learners will be introduced to databases and their objects to understand how information is contained, and the basic terminology the program uses. With the intermediate module, learners will begin to understand how external data can be copied or imported into the existing information, and the advanced Access module helps learners append, and update database queries.
