August e-learning awards from The Housing e-Academy

The Housing e-Academy has awarded a number of prizes this week to members and learners who are doing particularly well with the roll out and completion of e-learning.

Our Star Student for June – August 2011 is Adrian Farrow, Team Leader from Wakefield & District Housing who joined as a Bronze member in June 2011

Adrian said "The Data Protection in the Workplace Training was just about right in both time to complete the course and the right amount of content in an easy to understand and follow format. The course could, if you wished, be broken down into sections and completed over a certain time period which is very useful if you have a busy schedule. It was very informative and useful for both our working environment in WDH and also the responsibilities of other Public/Private sector bodies to which we all come into contact with." Adrian has received a certificate and iPod Shuffle. He will appear in the September Hou-Zine.

Our Housing Heroes for June - August 2011 are East North East Homes Leeds. The Housing Heroes award is given to the member with the highest course completion rate per learner during the quarter. East North East Homes is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) for Leeds City Council who have been a member of the Housing e-Academy since March 2008.

Our Tenant Plus Housing Heroes for June – August 2011 are First Choice Homes Oldham.

Tenant Plus members concentrate on providing e-learning to their tenants, as opposed to staff. First Choice Homes joined as Tenant Plus members in 2010. First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) was created in April 2002 to manage council owned properties across Oldham Metropolitan Borough. Since February 2011 they have taken over the ownership and management of over 12,000 homes and have become a Registered Provider of Social Housing (also known as a housing association or RSL).
