Christmas Charity Holly Ball

Virtual College are delighted to be the proud sponsors for the third year running of the annual Christmas Holly Ball, a high-profile charity event in Ilkley's social calendar and one of the longest running charity events in the area, now in its 26th year.

The Holly Ball is this year to take place on Saturday 8 December 2012 at the Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley. An equal donation will be made to the British Heart Foundation and also Help for Heroes, two very worthy causes.

As in previous years, the event will take the format of a drinks reception, with three course dinner plus coffee, a raffle and dancing into the early hours to live music, this year provided by sensational swing band, Dominic Halpin & the Honey Bs, and a disco.

Lesley Ord, Operations Director for Virtual College said "As we approach our one millionth online learner milestone, we are delighted to be involved for a third year with the Holly Ball; we are very excited to be offered this opportunity to raise our profile within the local community, whilst at the same time supporting the very worthy causes, which the Holly Ball benefits".

Organiser Fiona Mann spoke of her excitement at this year's event "I am thrilled that Virtual College has kindly agreed to support this worthwhile cause for the third running; their generosity is very much appreciated and we are all looking forward to a successful and memorable evening, which will really get people in the Christmas mood."
