E learning stations provided in medical Centre of Excellence

A new Medical Services Centre of Excellence ambulance station has been built in Alperton, London following an investment of £3 million. Included in the construction was a state-of-the-art communications technology hub, with a crew room that features two workstations so that various online training modules can be better accessed.

This should help support people's emergency needs around the UK and Joe Sheehan, managing director of the organisation, noted that "the new integrated stations will provide our customers with a quicker, more efficient and more cost-efficient service". An open day was held earlier this month to showcase the centre, with trained staff putting on swab testing demonstrations to measure how clean surfaces and hands were.

This comes after a Brightwave report found that the use of e learning could well increase in the future, with 49 per cent of public sector and training professionals planning to reduce classroom-based education so as to lower expenditure.
