Epping Forrest school launches e-learning internet system

Pupils at Coopersale Hall School in Epping Forrest will be able to take advantage of a new virtual learning environment come the start of the new school term.

With downloadable class work and homework, face-to-face lecturing programmes for teachers and remote marking of assignments, the system could mean that the time-honoured excuse of the dog eating the homework may have finally had its day, according to the Epping Forest Guardian.

"It is really a new way of using technology to help children to learn," explained the school's head teacher Matthew Haggar. He added that teachers were currently being tutored on the software, which goes live on September 7th when the school reopens.

He added: "This system means that it is far easier for pupils and teachers to keep in touch when pupils are not able to attend school."

Furthermore, with an increasing number of professional qualifications now available through e-learning, career psychologist at amazingpeople.co.uk Denise Taylor earlier claimed that the professional arena viewed non-university gained qualifications favourably.
