Virtual College’s seminar at CIPD will examine ‘How Technology has Transformed the Learning Experience’

At this year’s CIPD Conference and Exhibition, Virtual College, in collaboration with The Engagement Coach, will discuss how technology has transformed the learning experience throughout the work environment.

HR and training managers will be able to relate closely to the ideas put forward in this presentation which will be delivered by Dan Nolan, Virtual College Learning Technology Consultant at Virtual College, and Amrit Sandhar, Director of The Engagement Coach.

The showcase will consider how the introduction of technology into traditional consultancy can enhance learning engagement and retention.

The Engagement Coach’s approach to training lies in its approach to employee engagement, ‘Understand, Identify and Act’, using data to tell the story. Every organisation is unique and using data insights gained from organisations, The Engagement Coach wanted to find a solution to creating more engaging leaders and managers, to improve organisational productivity.

The challenge was how to make learning engaging and make learning stick. Armed with insight, expertise and creativity, they set about building a ground-breaking leadership development programme. The result was a transformative blended learning programme made up of a 10-part mini TV series underpinned by psychology and neuroscience, called ‘In Good Company’.

Virtual College provides the online arm of their transformative blended delivery programme. The Engagement Coach delivers their high quality content for learners to engage with, hosted via Virtual College’s LMS, Enable.

Engagement specialist, Amrit Sandhar, commented “Leaders and managers are extremely busy and don’t have time to spend a whole day learning. They need development that is relevant, and works around their needs and ways of working. It was important to create learning that was engaging, and aligned to how people live their lives”

Virtual College’s Dan Nolan added:” Technology is vital to support accessibility, this is now a must have for learners. The introduction of technology enables new and innovative methods for consultancy to increase engagement in organisations and enhance the learning experience.”
