Virtual College on judging panel for Education and Training in Patient Safety

Virtual College's Health and Social Care director, Judith Clarkson, will be on the judging panel for the ‘Education and Training in Patient Safety' award at the prestigious Patient Safety Congress and Awards 2015.

Quality training provides the foundations for delivering harm-free care by providing staff with the appropriate knowledge and skills to embed a culture of safety within an organisation. Virtual College's involvement demonstrates the important role quality online training now plays in the healthcare sector.

Now in their 7th year, the Patient Safety Awards recognise outstanding practice across the NHS and private healthcare sectors. All shortlists in this award category will have demonstrated training initiatives designed to raise awareness and improve patient safety. Examples can include face-to-face courses, online training, work-based learning programmes or a blended approach of one or more.

The Awards provide a platform for successful healthcare organisations to share their knowledge to help transform practice more widely.

The Patient Safety Awards will be held alongside the Patient Safety Congress at the ICC in Birmingham on the 6th – 7th July.

Virtual College will also be exhibiting at the Congress and the healthcare team will be on stand D6 talking about the National Patient Safety Training Suite developed with NHS England.
