E-Commerce Manager - c£30,000pa - £35,000pa + commission (depending on experience)

The overall objective of the role is to ensure we develop strategies and action plans to deliver and ideally exceed the online sales budget:

  • Develop an overall online sales plan
  • Develop and execute individual campaigns to sell online courses, course packages and associated physical products, including developing email promotional plans
  • Develop online strategies to:

-  Attract more potential online sales customers to the existing sites 

-  Use CRO techniques to convert a higher percentage of visitors

-  Maximise the value of each customer

  • Ensure all SEO tools are fully utilised including link building
  • To produce web content and liaise with the other marketers to produce web content to attract customers to our sites
  • Monitor sales regularly - daily, weekly, monthly and amend strategies accordingly
  • Online Sales Analytics Champion - Use these skills to integrate data to understand trends and causes for performance to help the sites trade harder
  • Ensure PPC budget is used efficiently including managing external agencies
  • To liaise and build relationships with internal departments such as Technical, Design and Customer Support to assist online sales achieve its targets
  • Research and build business cases for developing new online courses - Market analysis – pricing, product, promotion, competitor activity
  • Research industry best practise and competitor bench marking - use this information to challenge pricing
  • Affiliate Marketing

Key requirements:

  • General marketing experience
  • Online sales experience
  • Tenacious and action orientated
  • Good knowledge of digital marketing and websites marketing
  • Track record of developing sales strategies and a proven track record of successful delivery
  • Thorough and in depth knowledge of online sales, SEO, CRO and PPC
  • Knowledge of link building
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to interpret and act on complex sets of financial/statistical data
  • Be really comfortable with numbers (both forecasting and business cases)
  • Tenacity - to seek out ever more insightful data/information to enable us to make informed decisions
  • Incredibly organised & capable of working in a constantly changing environment
  • Creative and imaginative, yet have a great eye for the detail
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative
  • The ability to develop and nurture internal relationships
  • Reporting skills
