Duration
This online Suicide Prevention training course will take approximately one to two hours to complete, depending on how quickly learners can study and absorb the material.
Learners do not have to complete all the training in one session as progress is recorded throughout.

Assessment and Certificate
After completing all of the training material you will be able to take the online assessment which consists of 10 questions and has a pass mark of 75%.
Once you have undertaken all of the activities, passed the online assessment and completed the relevant evaluation you will be able to download and print your certificate.

Course Structure
This section will enable you to understand suicide and suicidal thoughts, so that you can react appropriately to relevant situations and raise awareness of these issues. After completing this module, you will be able to explain what is meant by ‘suicidal thoughts’, and outline why people can experience them. You will also learn about how prevalent suicide is, and identify and explain risk factors for suicidal thoughts, as well as why adolescents are at an increased risk. You will look at some statistics surrounding suicide, the personality traits of those who are at risk, and how you can help.
