Description
It is a statutory requirement for anyone who works with children to have up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding policies, legislation, and guidance so they can proactively focus on keeping them safe from harm and act on any concerns about their welfare.
This Level 2 Safeguarding Children course teaches learners everything they need to know, by law, about safeguarding. It gives learners the skills and knowledge they need to be able to identify the signs and symptoms of abuse and report to the appropriate authorities if they suspect a child is being abused.
The course has been updated to be compliant with new Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022 legislation and how this applies in the workplace or when working with children and young people.

Accreditation
The content of this Safeguarding Children Level 2 course has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines.
Duration
The course takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete. You can proceed as quickly or slowly as you like, and there is no limit on how long you can take to make your way through the learning material.
Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements for this Safeguarding Level 2 course.
Test and certificate
At the end of the course, learners will need to complete an online test consisting of 15 multiple-choice questions. Learners are required to achieve a 75% pass mark, and, if necessary, may attempt the test six times at no extra cost.
If learners do not achieve the 75% pass mark within six attempts, further attempts may be given by contacting our support team.
Learners will be able to download a Safeguarding Children Level 2 digital certificate on successful completion of the test. This can be printed, and we suggest you keep it for your records.

Course Structure
The training starts by looking at how nothing is more important than children's welfare and every child deserves to grow up in a safe, stable, loving home. It explains what safeguarding is, why children and young people must be protected from abuse, the key safeguarding legislation, several child protection cases which have shaped the UK law, what a child-centred approach to safeguarding is and three key principles to consider when safeguarding children.
