Which Level 3 Food Hygiene course is right for you?
There are six Level 3 courses to choose from, and which one you go for depends on your specific job role. Fortunately, all of our courses are fully online and are broken into easy-to-follow, digestible modules, and you can take them at your own pace.
To make sure you choose the right course, we have detailed below each one and who they would be suitable for. Take a look:
- Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering: This course is specifically for food supervisors in the catering industry, such as head chefs and kitchen managers.
- Level 3 Food Hygiene and Safety for Manufacturing: For anyone who manages or supervises workers in the food manufacturing industry, then this course would be the best fit.
- Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene for Retail: Food retail managers and supervisors will need to take this course, and that can include bakery and butchery supervisors.
- Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene for Supervisors: This is a general course for anyone managing or supervising workers who come into direct contact with food.
All of these courses cost £89 + VAT, and take roughly eight to nine hours to complete, so the choice revolves more around sector fit rather than price.
The other two courses you can take are the Level 3 HACCP and the Food Safety and Hygiene Advanced Package. The latter course takes roughly 20 hours to complete and has been discounted from £340 to £125. For the Level 3 HACCP, it takes around two to three hours to complete and costs £99 + VAT.
It’s important to note that the Level 3 HACCP is a completely different course to the Level 3 Food Hygiene training and cannot be completed to replace the supervisor training.
