Our advanced course has been developed in collaboration with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the UK government agency responsible for the regulations of workplace health, safety and welfare. This online course covers the whole range of possible causes for slips, trips and falls in the workplace, how design and planning can help to avoid them, and the procedures to deal with them should they happen.

According to the HSE, slips and trips are the single most common cause of major injuries in the workplace, and are often also major factors in other injuries, such as falls from height and accidents involving machines. Therefore, training in this area is vital.
Our advanced and wide-ranging course covers the whole range of possible causes for slips and trips in the workplace, the consequences if inadequate care is taken, how design and planning can aim to avoid them, and the procedures to deal with them if they happen.

Duration
Our online health and safety course will take approximately 5-6 hours to complete. The length of time taken depends entirely on how quickly you can study and absorb the material. You can proceed as quickly or slowly as you like, and there is no limit on how long you can take to do the course and your progress will be automatically saved so you can log in and out as you please.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course.
Test and certificate
The end of course test consists of 30 multiple choice questions. Learners are required to achieve a 75% pass mark, and, if necessary, may attempt the test six times at no extra cost.
If learners do not achieve the 75% pass mark, further attempts may be given by contacting our support team.
Learners will be able to download a digital certificate on completion. This can be printed, and we suggest you keep it for your records.
