This CPD Course has been designed to provide a full overview of the latest revision to BS 7671:2018 ‘Requirements for Electrical Installations - IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition’ brought about by the release of Amendment 4:2026.
This workshop has been created for those who design, install, commission or maintain low-voltage electrical installations and who need a better understanding of the impact and implications of the 4th Amendment.
This 18th Edition Amendment No.4 E-learning Workshop course has been developed in partnership with NICEIC to provide a cost-effective way to provide an overview of the main changes introduced by the 4th Amendment.
What does this course cover?
This course has been designed to highlight the main changes introduced by the release of the fourth amendment to BS 7671.
This CPD module is broken up into 10 lessons and includes interactive challenges, graphics and videos throughout.
Work areas
The scope of BS 7671:2018 covers permanent and temporary installations in residential, commercial, public and industrial premises. It also includes requirements relating to special locations as well as considerations for energy efficiency.
Certification
On completion of the 18th Edition Amendment 4 Update course, you will be able to print a certificate to demonstrate you have completed the learning.
Duration
Six study hours to complete. The length of time taken depends entirely on how quickly learners can study and absorb the material.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements however, delegates will gain most from this CPD workshop if they already have a good understanding of BS 7671:2018 and have previously completed 18th Edition 2nd Amendment training.
Target Audience
This course is suitable for those who design, install, commission or maintain low-voltage electrical installations and who need to better understand the impact and implications of Amendment 4:2026.
Whilst the course is primarily aimed at experienced electricians, it will also be of benefit to those with an existing understanding of BS 7671:2018 including allied trades as well as trade related professionals such as contract managers, installation designers, consultants, specifiers and surveyors.
