Description
This package combines our Food Allergy Awareness course with our Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering training. If you prepare or handle food in the workplace or work in an environment that provides catering service, these courses provide essential knowledge of culinary safety procedures.
As a business owner or food handler, you have a legal duty to comply with the EU’s food safety guidelines. This food allergy training package features up-to-date examples of allergen legislation, such as the Natasha's Law PPDS regulations, as well as guidance on the appropriate handling and preparation of other foodstuffs in the workplace.
By the end of your allergen training, you’ll be able to understand what allergies are, identify key allergens, appropriately label pre-packed food, and follow food allergy guidance to keep consumers safe. You’ll also learn about foodborne illness, food law, cross-contamination, personal hygiene, and more.
For a lower-level course covering safety procedures in the kitchen, try our Level 1 Food Safety and Hygiene Training.
What courses are included in this training package?
This food allergen training package includes two of our most popular food safety and hygiene courses: Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering and Food Allergy Awareness.
If you are not sure which level of food hygiene training you need, try browsing our food hygiene certificates to find the perfect course for you.
This course is not a formal RQF food safety & hygiene qualification. The levels only indicate the type of course so that businesses can choose who it is suitable for.
Legislation covered in this training package
Our Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene training course satisfies the EU Food Information Regulation No. 1169/2011 (FIR) / Food Information for Consumers Regulation (FIC) requirement for food handling training.
Certification

A pass mark of at least 75% is required to complete each of the final tests. The Food Allergy Awareness course test consists of 15 multiple-choice questions, and learners may attempt it up to six times at no extra cost. The Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene for Catering course features 30 multiple-choice questions and can be attempted up to six times at no extra cost. Our support team may allow further attempts upon request.
