What is HACCP?
HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, and is a seven-principle system designed to assess and address potential hazards in food industry workplaces.
Employers can only show that they are qualified to fulfil their duties safely if their staff are trained in line with the HACCP seven principles.

- Understand the contaminations and hazards that are a threat for any food business and the controls that can be put in place for prevention
- Know the terms used in HACCP and how Critical Control Points are delivered
- Understand how HACCP can be put into effect within your workplace
- Understand the need for procedures and documentation to be able to produce consistently safe food
The content of this course has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines.

The course takes approximately two to three hours to complete, but this depends on how quickly each learner studies and absorbs material.

Testing and HACCP certification
At the end of the course, there is a test consisting of 15 multiple choice questions. An 80% pass mark is required, and learners will get three attempts to achieve this if needed, at no extra cost.

After you've passed, you'll be able to download a digital certificate, which you can print off for your own records.
