Food Hygiene and Food Allergy knowledge and awareness is crucial in any workplace. Allergy safety is now a mandatory, whole-school responsibility meaning every member of staff working in schools must be trained. That's why we have combined our RoSPA assured Level 2 Food Hygiene and Food Allergy Awareness with our CPD approved Benedict's Law Training Course in this handy package.
Course Level: Intermediate
Duration: 4-5 Hours
Accreditation: RoSPA Assured, CPD Certified
Certificate: Self-Printed Certificate
Description
This package has been created for those working in schools to ensure they are allergy aware, meet UK/EU food hygiene training requirements and gain knowledge on new Benedict's Law requirements.
Schools have a responsibility to ensure their staff are aware of allergies and anaphylaxis, how to recognise the signs of a reaction and respond quickly, and what their own responsibilities are under their school's allergy policy.
Benedict's Law training now sits alongside schools' existing safeguarding and health and safety duties.
At the end of this package you will able to understand what allergies are, identify key allergens, appropriately label pre-packed food, and follow food allergy guidance to keep consumers safe.
You’ll will learn about foodborne illness, food law, cross-contamination, personal hygiene, disinfect equipment, safely store and prepare food, control common pests and much more.
Finally you will gain knowledge over what Benedict's Law is, how an allergy differs from an intolerance, how spare adrenaline auto-injectors can be used, how to respond to an allergic reaction and so much more.

This course is not a formal RQF food safety & hygiene qualification. The levels only indicate the type of course so that businesses can choose who it is suitable for.
Certification
Each course comes with an instant digital certificate that can be downloaded after each assessment.
The Level 2 Food Hygiene and Food Allergy Awareness courses come with RoSPA digital certificates from Virtual College. The Benedict's Law course includes a CPD approved certificate.
These certificates feature the accrediting body logo, the learner’s name, the course title, and the completion date.
A pass mark of at least 75% is required to complete each of the three final tests. The Food Allergy Awareness and Benedict's course tests consist of 15 multiple-choice questions, and learners may attempt them up to six times each at no extra cost. The Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene for Catering course features 30 multiple-choice questions and can be attempted up to six times at no extra cost.
Our support team may allow further attempts upon request.
Package duration
The Level 2 Food Hygiene course should take two to three hours to complete, the Food Allergy Awareness Training should take one to two hours and the Benedict's Law course should take 30-45 minutes.
