Our online Safeguarding and Leadership Course is designed for all levels of operational managers, and aims to make sure that everyone involved in delivering and monitoring services to children, young people and their families is doing so with their safety and wellbeing in mind, and is training their staff in doing the same.

It would benefit managers at child protection units, as well as anyone involved in the specification, commission, monitoring and/or provision of services to children, young people and their families, to ensure they can deliver effective leadership in line with recommended safeguarding procedures.

Duration
There are around 80 interactive screens to work through to complete the Safeguarding and Leadership Course, which should take you around two-and-a-half hours to complete. However, this does depend on your individual learning speed. Your progress will be recorded throughout.

The course starts by giving an introduction to the topic of safeguarding and leadership by looking at recent history, safeguarding children, young people and their families, safeguarding children across services, current national guidance of good practice and legislation, the Munro Review and interactive challenges to check your knowledge so far.
